Crystal Globe Helmsman Award
The Lauderdale Yacht Club Helmsman Award is presented to those individuals that have made a significant contribution to the Sailing Foundation during the previous year. The awards are presented during the Sailing Foundation Annual Dinner and are one of the highlights of the evening.
The beautiful Crystal Globe Helmsman Award features the shape of a racing sail on a mesmerizing blue base with the world globe positioned just below the sail. The recipients’ name is embossed in the sail in recognition of their generous support of youth sailing and boating. These coveted awards are presented when a minimum donation of $ 5,000 has been made or when an individual or organization has been instrumental in further advancing the purpose of the Sailing Foundation, which is summarized by the statement: “Building Character in Youth through Sailing and Boating”.
