Competition Grants for Sailors Application

LYCSF awards competition grants to sailors under the age 18 qualified to compete in international and continental championship level regattas (I.e. North American or European Championships). Competitors may apply to the Foundation through the online application on the LYCSF website and reviewed by a Grant Review Process (GRP). If approved, the amount awarded will be a portion of the sailor’s anticipated budget. Competition Grants are approved on an ongoing monthly basis due to the nature of regatta schedules and must be applied for before the regatta date. Competition Grants are presently not awarded for local regattas.
Grant Information Guidelines
Costs to be included in the total projected costs of event:
1. Entry fee
2. Transportation costs for sailor
3. Lodging costs for sailor 4. Charter fees 5. Coaching fees and related costs
Costs not to be included in the total projected costs of event:
1. Transportation costs for family except when including the sailor
2. Lodging costs for family except when including the sailor
3. Any costs unrelated to specific event covered by application
