FLIBS Raffle Raises Nearly $11,000 to Support Lauderdale Yacht Club Sailing Foundation

Fort Lauderdale, FL – November 1, 2024 – The Lauderdale Yacht Club Sailing Foundation (LYCSF) is thrilled to announce the success of the recent “A Boat Load of Fun” raffle held at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), which raised nearly $11,000 for the Foundation’s mission. The raffle kicked off with a welcome party on October 30 and continued throughout the weekend, generating excitement and support from attendees.

The raffle offered an impressive $8,000 prize, drawing ticket sales from community members and boat show visitors alike. The proceeds from the event will directly benefit LYCSF, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sailing education and creating opportunities for youth sailors in Fort Lauderdale.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in this year’s raffle,” said Beth Rielly, Chair of the LYCSF. “The funds raised will make a meaningful impact in supporting young sailors and fostering a love for the sport in our community. Special thanks to our generous donors, FLIBS, and all the dedicated supporters who made this event such a success.”

Congratulations to the raffle’s lucky winner, Eric Hill, and heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this fundraiser a highlight of the FLIBS weekend. LYCSF looks forward to another successful event next year as we continue to support the next generation of sailors.
