Congratulations Team USA!

LYC sailors Stephen Baker and Tommy Sitzmann finished 2nd and 5th overall out of 258 sailors from 58 nations at the IODA World Championship in Cyprus.

“Last year in Thailand, I placed 4th overall and worked very hard to do better this year. Both years, I felt very proud to represent the USA and the LYC.”

“While I worked very hard to qualify for the World Championship, and earn a berth on the team, I am also very thankful for the support given to me by my coaches, Lauderdale Yacht Club Sailing Foundation, my parents, and U.S. Sailing.”

World Team Racing Championship Team USA finished 4th our of 50 national teams.
